I am happy to be with you most of the time. I really like, trust and respect you. I want our relationship to be permanent. I focus on your personality, not just sexual feelings. I care about your pleasure and well-being as much as my own. I feel like I "belong" to you. Our relationship has deepened during the past six months.

When you're really in love, you can honestly answer "yes" to all of these.

In addition, it is important to remember that love is not something you feel, but something you do. Raw emotion is merely the caboose on the love train; the train can run with or without it. The feeling of "being in love" only lasts so long once you're married. After that, the relationship settles into a quieter form of love. It is like a man who loves to swim: he may become quite good at it, and enjoy it very much; but he is a fool if he tries to get back that thrill he felt when he first got into the pool as a boy.
